For augmentation of drinking water facilities at SC/ ST basties of Langer village, Kaluchek, Swaran Nagar, Harijen Mohalla, Hari Vihar and Ambika Colony, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla today laid foundation of deep drill tube well at Langer village in Kunjwani.
The construction of deep drill tube well including laying of water supply pipes works would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.74 crore under Water Supply Scheme Jallo Check Langer.
Addressing a large gathering, Mr. Bhalla said that with the commissioning of tube well, the adequate drinking water facilities would be provided even in the tail end areas. He said Government has issued directions to PHE and ERA departments to put their sincere efforts in providing adequate drinking water facilities so that the people do not feel any inconvenience during summer season.
For improving the power infrastructure in the Langer village, the Minister announced Rs. 6 lakh out of his CDF for installation of 250 KVA transformer and replacement of worn out wires. He called upon the people in general to use the power judiciously, avoid illegal hooking, pay electric bills in time and regularize the load as per their consumption. He asked the people to come forward in nominating the violators thereby helping the PDD in eradicating the menace of power theft.
Responding to the locals demand, Mr. Bhalla announced Rs. 5 lakh out of his CDF for construction of compound wall of Government Primary School, Langer and development of playing field. He asked the executing agency to complete the works within ten days so that the students do not feel any inconvenience.
Regarding construction of cremation ground on the identified land at Langer village, the Minister said Government has earmarked Rs. 35 lakh for this purpose, adding that project would be completed within stipulated time frame with the facilities of waiting shed, cremation shed, drinking water reservoir besides bathing ghat for ladies and gents.
Mr. Bhalla assured the inhabitants of Langer and Ambika Colony that their development related issues would be redressed in a phased manner adding that focus of the Government is to develop all the poor basties on modern lines by providing all basic amenities like safe drinking water, power, better roads, bye-lanes, drains, besides educational and healthcare infrastructure.
At Trikuta Nagar Extension, the Minister dedicated pre- school 'Sangrash Vidhya Kendra' to underprivileged slum dwellers children.
