Aamir Khan, Bollywood superstar, who was here on two day Kashmir visit to shoot for a campaign for Incredible India, today hoped that filmmakers would return to Kashmir Photos for their shoots like the good old times.
Aamir, who was on a two day trip to Kashmir, visited the famed floating vegetable garden in Dal lake early in the morning and later visited Delhi Public School, before returning to New Delhi. Aamir Khan interacted with the school children for about an hour. These children who were on winter vacation were specially called for a session with Aamir Khan.
Aamir arrived here yesterday and went to Kangan to shoot for his Incredible India campaign on the banks of river Sindh. He also shot for the campaign in Dal lake early in the morning.
Aamir said that he was in Srinagar after more than a decade and was impressed with the breathtaking beauty of the Valley.
While talking to reporters on the banks of Dal lake, Aamir said: "I have come to Kashmir after more than 10 years. Last time I had came here to shoot Mann. The place is wonderful. The people are nice and hospitable.
"I hope Bollywood starts shooting films here like the good old times. My uncle (filmmaker Nasir Hussain) used to shoot his films in Kashmir," he said.
Khan said that some parts of his 3 Idiots film were filmed in Ladakh region of the State, but he couldn't come to the Valley then.
"We went directly to Leh to shoot 3 Idiots and I did not get an opportunity to visit the Valley that time," said the film star.
When asked about the cricketer Yuraj Singh who is battling with lung cancer, Aamir said he is praying that he recovers and returns to the field soon.
"He is a great fighter. My prayers go out for his quick recovery so that he returns to where he belongs, to the cricket field," said Aamir.
It may be mentioned here that Yuvraj Singh has been diagnosed with a malignant tumour in his lung and is currently undergoing chemotherapy at the Cancer Research Institute in Boston.
