Drugs and Food Control Organisation (DFCO) today carried out special drive against smoking at public place and imposed fine on 85 violators.` 6620 worth fine was imposed on the violators.
The team, which conducted drive against the smoking, comprised Manzoor Ahmad, Manish Gupta, Amit Mahajan and Gagan Bhardwaj, all Food Safety Officers and Drug Inspectors of DFCO. It worked under the supervision of Satish Gupta, Controller, DFCO, J&K.
The team also installed sign boards at prominent public places displaying the warning ‘No Smoking Area' and ‘Smoking Her is an Offence'
