CJM seeks status in Neelam Bar

The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Jammu, Jatinder Singh Jamwal has directed the Crime Branch, Jammu to submit status report on an earlier direction issued for investigations in a case pertaining to Neelam Bar and Restaurant, Poonch on or before February 13.

The direction was issued after Govind Ram Thakur party appeared before the CJM Jammu after publication of a report in the Excelsior yesterday that IGP Crime Raja Aijaz Ali was sitting over the file for past 50 days.

The CJM Jammu had on December 9 asked the Crime Branch to investigate the case under different Sections of law in Neelam Bar case. The original Bar owner, Govind Ram Thakur had sought registration of a case by the Crime Branch for tampering of the record in the Bar license by Neelam Daluja and Devinder Daluja, who happened to be sister-in-law and brother of Raj Daluja alias Raji.

However, the Crime Branch didn’t investigate the case for 50 days as the IGP Crime kept on sitting over the file for 50 days due to his close proximity with Raji.

Thakur party today appeared before the CJM Jammu and pleaded that the Crime Branch has done nothing for last 50 days. The CJM directed the Crime Branch to file status report in the case on or before February 13.
