Int'l Conference on Global Cultural Routes tomorrow
The Centre for Studies in Museology, University of Jammu in association with Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Department of Tourism and Culture, J&K Government and General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex University of Jammu, is going to organise a three-day International Conference on Global Cultural Routes: Tourism and Socio-Economic Viability from March 1 to 3 at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex.
Prof Pooman Choudhary Director, Centre for Studies in Museology while briefing the media today said the Governor and Chancellor University of Jammu, N N Vohra will inaugurate the conference on March 1.
She added that Minister for Tourism and Culture, Nawang Rigzin Jora would be the guest of honour while Prof MPS Ishar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, will preside over.
Prof Poomam said experts drawn from eight countries from inter disciplinary fields are likely to participate in the conference which will be divided into technical sessions- visit to heritage sites and cultural route.
She further said that the international conference on Cultural Routes will be attended by experts from all over the world.
Prof G M Batt, who is the co-organising secretary of the conference said the conference will bring together the conclusions of global strategic study striving to improve the recognition with heritage of economic, social, symbolic and philosophical dimensions.
D L Choudhay, Administrator, General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex, JU, was also present.
