Anantnag Prabandhak Committee holds meet

A meeting of Anantnag Prabandhak Committee was held here today under the chairmanship of PN Goja its president.

The meeting informed the gathering about the steps taken by the Committee for the development of the ancient and historical Nagbal Shrine at Anantnag and other shrines of the town.

It lauded the role of the youth of the community in development of the Nagbal shrine. It said the youth serving in Valley will be honest and sincere while discharging their duties so that they can prove as ambassadors of honorable and dignified return. It also lauded the role of Muslim brethren who extended lot of cooperation during the religious function held at Anant Chuterdashi at Nagbal by the Committee.

The meeting was informed that the Committee had informed the DC that the building of the shrine has been utilized by security forces since 1990 without payment of any rent. It also demanded restoration of water supply and drainage system around the shrine. The DC assured necessary action in this regard.

The meeting among others was attended by J K Bhat, C J Dhar and R K Koul.
