Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy and National Conference president, Dr. Farooq Abdullah has asked people to make the Amarnath yatra a grand success and provide all help to the yatris.
In a statement, the Union Minister said that tourism contributes the most important share to the economy of Kashmir, adding that people should as such behave properly with the tourists visiting this place.
He said peace holds key to the overall progress and prosperity of the people of Kashmir.
"Everybody should chip in and play his part in making the tourist season a grand success. People belonging to the varied trades should keep in mind that the tourists are our guests and they should treat them in a decent manner. We have been hospitable to the tourists in past and hopefully we would the same in future," said Dr. Abdullah.
