Shrine Board sets up 24x7 Helpline

Control Room to facilitate yatris

Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board has established a Control Room equipped with a 24-hour Helpline to facilitate the yatris undertaking the Shri Amarnathji pilgrimage. The Control Room was inaugurated today morning by the Shrine Board Chairman, N. N. Vohra.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board, R. K. Goyal, stated that any person seeking information or help in regard to the forthcoming Yatra, which commences on June 29, can call 0194-2501679. Any person wishing to make any complaint about the yatra arrangements can also call the Control Room. The CEO stated that the intending Yatris should leave the Pahalgam and Baltal base camps only on the June 29 morning, in the interest of their safety and security.

The CEO stated that pilgrims can also gather Yatra-related information through the Shrine Board's website by logging on to www.shriamarnathjishrine.com and also send e-queries online through the website. Besides other information, the authorized rates for hiring of Ponies, Pithoos, Dandies, Dandiwallas and labourers, besides helicopter fares, have also been displayed on the Board's website, he added. These rates have been notified by the Deputy Commissioners of Anantnag and Ganderbal districts.
