Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama donated Rs seventy nine lakh to Himalayan Buddhist Society for construction of Buddhist hostel at Gulabgarh, Padder.
President of the society, Jigmit Narboo, whereas confirming the donation given by Dalai Lama said that while not the support of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and MLA Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo the visit of Dalai Lama to Padder wasn't attainable.
He said when the development of hostel, the association are going to be in a very position to produce accommodation to most of the scholars learning within the Buddhist faculty.
