Kargil students hold protest against LAHDC

All Kargil Students Association Jammu (AKSAJ) held a protest demonstration against Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) for its failure to supply hostel facility to the scholars learning in Jammu.

Students from Kargil assembled underneath the banner of All Kargil Students Association Jammu (AKSAJ) outside Kargil House, Bahu Plaza and raised slogans against LAHDC, for not providing hostel facility to them.

Addressing the gathering, Shakeel Ahmed, president, AKSAJ, said that their association held many conferences with Qamar Ali Akhoon, Minister for CAPD and Transport, relating to this issue and every time he promised the scholars to supply hostel facility at the earliest.

While speaking, Mohd Abuzar, lambasted the Minister for his inability in redressing the difficulty and added that administration generally and CEC above all don't seem to be able to fulfill the said demands of the scholars.

The association has served seven days ultimatum to the administration and Transport Minister to satisfy their demands, otherwise face dire consequences.
