PK resolves to intensify struggle for homeland

The second day of first international Kashmiri Pandit youth conference concluded with Pune declaration which resolved that the displaced Kashmiri Pandit youth will intensify the fight for reclaiming a separate homeland in Kashmir as envisaged by Margdarshan –91.

It also resolved that the K P youths recognize the sacrifices made by their elders, while responding to the situation created by the forced exile will contribute back to the society in tangibly measurable terms, will adopt a mission of consolidating and spreading exile consciousness in the community through specific and regular programmes, will explore and facilitate empowerment of displaced Kashmiri Pandit youth especially those under privileged youngsters living in various camps in Jammu and elsewhere through various enabling programmes, will equip themselves to lead the community initiatives and struggles in the coming years, will protect and preserve the language and cultural heritage, will launch a global initiative for creating a data bank of the Kashmiri Pandit youth worldwide, will connect with all those nationalist movements engaged in protecting the integrity, sovereignty, unity and prestige of Indian nation.

The conference also declares the year 2012 as the Displaced Kashmiri Pandit Youth Awakening Year.

The second day’s session stated with a brief review of first days events and highlights by Kamal Hak, national spokesman of Panun Kashmir.

The next session of women empowerment was addressed by Dr Khema Koul, spokes person of Kashmira Vahini , Dr Shailaja Bhardwaj Ambardar, Dean Department of Hindi, Sayaji Rao University Vadodra and Neeru Kaul, Biomedical Reasercher and Blogger.

Dr Khema Koul in her address emphasized upon the youth of the community to equip themselves with their history and culture.

Dr Shailaja Bradhwaj in her thought provoking speech enumerated the threat perceptions, the youth of the community are confronted with.

Eminent actor and director Dr.Chander Prakash Dwedi of famous "Chanakya Serial" graced the occasion and was felicitated for his contribution to Indian civilization ethos. In his address.

The Jan Samarthan session for the Panun Kashmir was addressed by renowned saints,political thinkers and educationists which included Swami Kumar Jee,Swami Pragya Pad International Director Art of Living, Ramesh Shinde Pramukh Pravakta of Hindu Jan Jagran Samiti and Rameshwar Maharaj Shastri Pramukh of Warkari Sampradai.

An exhilarating musical performances by Kailash Mehra,Deepali Wattal, Daleep Langoo, Sumeet Patwari and Kuldeep Saproo depicted the expression of culture and music in exile.
