The cabinet approved creation of 220 posts both teaching and non-teaching for 11 model colleges under “Establishment of model colleges in educationally backward districts scheme.” Besides, it cleared the name of Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmed, Commissioner SMC as new Secretary, General Administration Department.
The cabinet, which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, also sanctioned two and half day pay and DA in favour of various categories of employees of Hospitality and Protocol department, who are required to perform duties on off days and Sundays on roaster basis.
It also approved the posting of Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmed, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) as Secretary, General Administration Department upon the superannuation of M S Khan w.e.f. January 31, 2012. Baseer Ahmed Khan, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar will hold additional charge of the post of Commissioner SMC, Srinagar till further orders.
While Bashir Ahmed Runiyal Commissioner/Secretary, Technical Education will hold the additional charge of the post of Commissioner/Secretary Revenue department upon the superannuation of Kachoo Isfandiyar Khan w.e.f. January 31 till further orders.
