ISKCON organizing Shree Jagannath Rath Yatra

International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is organizing 1st ever "Shree Jaganath Rath Yatra" within the town of temples on April thirty.

This was disclosed by Navyogendra Swami Ji, throughout a press conference here this afternoon.

He said that the ISKCON has finalized the arrangements for the upcoming "Shree Jagannath Rath Yatra" on April thirty which can begin at twelve noon.

He said that this is often the primary ever Rath Yatra within the history of J&K and thousands of devotees across the State and outdoors are reaching to participate during this event.

He said that the Lord Jaganath is thus merciful that he himself come backs out of the temple for people who don't come to the temple. He said that his brother Baldev and sister Subhadra can accompany the Lord and a good looking chariot has been created for the Lord.

He said that, Amrit Malhotra, Chairman, Legislative Council, are the chief guest whereas Madan Lal Sharma and Choudhary Lal Singh, Members of Parliament, are the guests of honour.

"The Rath Yatra can begin from town Palace, Kachi Chawni and can have Parade, Shalamar, Kanak Mandi, Rajinder Bazaar, Shahedi Chowk, Raghunath Mandir, Indra Chowk, Gumat, Vinayak Bazaar, Dogra Chowk, Jewel, Canal Head, Guest House, Gole Pully, Bohri and can culminate at KK Resort, Udheywala Bohri", Swami ji said, adding, that the Maha Aarti Utsav goes to be held tomorrow at town Palace, Kachi Chawni from five pm onwards until mid night.

Highlighting the importance of the Rath Yatra, Swami ji said that the Rath Yatra competition of chariots originates in Puri, Orrisa and it's the oldest known competition and has been celebrated for over thousands of years.

"To provide profit to the individuals of the globe, the founder Acharya of ISKCON, C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada introduced the Rath Yatra competition throughout the globe", he maintained.

Swami Ji appealed the individuals of Jammu, to participate within the Rath Yatra and have the Darshan of the Lord Jaganath as "One Who Sees Lord Jagannath on his Rath won't take Birth once more during this Material World".

Among others gift were Vikram Malhotra, president Rath Yatra, Jai Keshav Dass, organizing president, SC Bali, president reception committee, HG Sarvbhaum Bhattacharya Dass, general manager, ISKCON Jammu, Surinder Peshin and Sanjeev, competition coordinator and Rohit Bali, general secretary.
