THE J&K BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS, SRINAGAR. NOTIFICATION NO: 32 - BOPEE OF 2011 DATED: 03rd JULY, 2011

Abhinav Chetan  with  207 marks  has bagged the first rank in the  J&K board of professional entrance examinations (BOPEE),  conducted for various courses. The results were declared tonight.

Firdous Ahmad Ganie  with 205 marks has got the second rank, while Sheikh Ashiq with   204  third rank, Farah Deeba Jehangir  with 200 marks fourth rank , Adil Rashid Khan  with 199 marks fifth rank, Tahir Ahmad Khan  with 199 marks  sixth rank.

The entrance examination was held on June 25 and 26 for MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc., , B.Sc. agriculture and allied courses in SKUAST-K & SKUAST-J, SKIMS courses, diploma in dental hygiene, BAMS, physiotherapy, Bums and B.E./B.Tech  Courses.


The candidates have been  directed to report to the allotted institutions from July 6 to 18 along with relevant certificates and Admit Card issued by the BOPEE.

BOPPE tonight selected  3,300 candidates from a total of 22,000 aspirants all across the state. The examinations were conducted in 35 centres of Jammu and Srinagar divisions . Srinagar city was allotted 16 examination centres whereas in Jammu, the examinations were held across 19 centres.

The candidates had applied for bachelors in various professional programmes like MBBS, BE, BDS, BVSc, and other associated professional courses.11, 029 candidates took their examinations in Srinagar centres whereas 10, 971 examinees sat for the examinations in Jammu.

The first round of examination conducted today was for Physics and Chemistry subjects with a weightage of 75 marks each. The duration for each paper was 90 minutes. Candidates who appeared for the examinations described Physics paper somewhat easier than Chemistry.

The answer keys were uploaded on the BOPEE website on June 26.
