The eleven-day long Gaytri Virat Yagya is underway on the banks of river Tawi here. This unique type of Maha Yagya started on May 23 with Shoba Yatra. The Shoba Yatra was taken out from historical Raghunath Temple and after participating in various parts of city it culminated at the venue of Yagya on the banks of river Tawi.
The Yagya has been organized by Radha Madhav Trust under the supervision of Suresh Shastri Ji Mahraj. On the third day of Yagya, a Kalash Yatra was taken out today. A large number of devotees drawn from different parts of Jammu region participated in the Kalash Yatra, which was led by wife of Sant Suresh Kumar Ji Maharaj.
Detailing about the religious programme Sant Ji said the Gaytri Virat Yagya is being solemnized through Vedic rituals to feed and please the nature.
Sant Ji said that the main objective of performing the Gaytri Virat Yagya is to seek the divine blessings for the world peace and prosperity.
This 11,000 Kundi Yagya is unique of its kind and daily thousands of people are participating in it, Sant Ji said. The Yagya is performed daily from 8 am to 12 pm which is followed by Bhajan and Kirtan. The Bhajan Sandya is held daily by Sant Ji himself.
The Yagya will conclude on June 2 with Puranahuti. The devotees are served with Prashad daily. The Sant Ji a disciple of Maha Shakti Shri Champa Mata and Sideshwar Shri Dwarikanath Shastri Ji Mahraj said he wants to spread their message throughout the country.
Sant Ji had earlier performed a Yagya in village Mandila near Jorian in Akhnoor.
Sant Ji said that religious and business organizations are free to organize langers and other Chabeels for the devotees during the Maha Yagya period.
