Various programmes were organized today in connection with celebration of the birth day of Sri Sri Ravi Shanker Ji by the Jammu chapter of Art of Living.
The volunteers organized a Chabeel at Indira Chowk Shalamar, where Prasad was also served to the people. A large number of devotees of Guru Ji attended the programme. The devotees of Swami Ji celebrated the day with great enthusiasm and fervour and took a solemn pledge to carry out the mission of Guru Ji with full determination.
Later a blood donation camp was organized by the Jammu Chapter of Art of Living in which a large number of volunteers donated blood, which was followed by a musical concert at Abhinav theatre in the evening. The renowned singer of Art of Living, Nitin Devar mesmerized the devotees with his bhajans on the occasion. A large number of devotees and volunteers of Art of Living attended the programme.
The volunteers of the organization also celebrated the day with the mentally challenged children at their Home in Channi Rama and blind girls at Roop Nagar.
According to a hand out issued by Art of Living Jammu chapter later said Sri Sri Ravi Shanker is a torch bearer of humanity and love.
It said the Guru Ji carried the message of the saints and sages for maintenance of peace and love on this universe. He has lessened the physical and mental anxieties of millions of people world over through his Mission, It added.
Describing Swami Ji one of the tallest personality among the spiritual Gurus, it said the Guru Ji’s programme includes Yoga, meditation and special breathing techniques that help in eliminating stress and improve self confidence, memory retention, clarity in perception, observation and experience.
