A new drama expression was displayed in the lush green lawns of Abhinav premises at midnight where under the headlights of the stationed cars around, the audience sat inside their air conditioned vehicles enjoying the show.
Entitled as 'Dusking Odyssey' under his theatrical phrase of "Theater of Convenience', Vikram Sharma introduced a new concept of midnight open air drama which was highly acclaimed by the audience present on the occasion.
The 30 minutes play 'Marnoprant' started with lighting of a cigarette by the actor Himanshu Darshan in the dark who is suddenly caught under the focus of the beaming lights of the cars of the audience present.
Aaditya Bhanu, his co actor joins him in a high powered man-woman relation drama as actors moved comfortably around the shrubs, trees and various sculptors in the Abhinav premises under the focused lights of the headlights of the cars.
" I am a great admirer of Vikram Sharma, whose theatrical sense and acumen always exhibits a novel theme and style which I feel goes very comfortably well with the actors as well as the contemporary audience. This attempt is really praise worthy as he holds distinction for being the torchbearer of stylized drama in the State," said Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha and a renowned theatrical litterateur of the State.
Himanshu Darshan, the undisputed best actor and Aaditya Bhanu, the already established actor of the State performed in the novel venture.
The event was organized by Shivani Cultural Society and was supported by Rangshalla Theatre Group and Lakshay-the aim.
Chankaya Restaurant provided eatery and event management through its proprietor Shiv Kumar.
Those present on the occasion included Raveesh Mengi, president Lakshay -the aim, Umesh Singh, president RTG, Abhishek Magotra, Soham Kashyap, Dhanesh Dogra, Vijay Goswami, Kumar A Bharti, Harsh Jasrotia, Rishab Sharma,Ishan Sacchar, Reetu Manhas, Neha Lahotra, Shagun Wazir, Dipti Charak and Deepika Pandit.
