The department of Agriculture has organised awareness camp in community hall Baramulla today. The ADC, Baramulla was the chief guest on this occasion. During the awareness camp, the poly films were distributed to all the Panchayat halqas along with seed for 365 panchayats at a cost of Rs. 15.33 lakh. The poly films and hybrid vegetable seed kits were issued free of cost among the beneficiaries selected under Panchayat Raj Insitutions. On the occasion, the chief guest stressed the farmers to make its proper use to increase the crop productivity. The Chief Agriculture Officer said that Rs. 30 lakh have been expended during the current fiscal on various farm implements which include 137 irrigation pumps, one tractor, 13 power tiller, 16 foot sprayer pumps and 73 poly films.
