Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj warns agitation against delay in implementation of PM's package
Taking strong exception to the Government's delaying tactics in implementation of remaining components of PM's employment package for displaced Pandit Youth, the Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) warned to launch agitation from March 13.
This was stated by president of the organization and Apex Committee member, R K Bhat while addressing a meeting of the KP youth here today. Making a dig at the Government Bhat said that certain elements in the administration are hell bent to sabotage the PM's package and this was the main reason that in last over four years out of 6000 posts announced by Dr Manmohan Singh only 1438 KP youth were given jobs. This way the Government has cheated the community youth who are the worst sufferers of 20 year long turmoil.
He said "it appears that some elements in the administration are in a state of desperation after the displaced youth volunteered themselves to join their duties in valley as this was totally against their expectations".
Bhat ridiculed the reported move of the State Government to re -advertise the 800 de-reserved posts despite the cabinet sanction and said this is nothing but to delay the employment process of the displaced youth who are already facing many hardships and some of them have even become over-aged.
He demanded immediate filling up of all 6000 posts under the package and said that the lip sympathy can't satisfy the youth who want that some thing concrete be done for them.
R K Bhat has appealed both Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and Revenue, Rehabilitation and Relief Minister, Raman Bhalla seeking their personal intervention in implementation of the Cabinet decision which is not being respected by the administration.
The YAIKS has also strongly criticized the administration for stopping the cash assistance to the newly recruited youth which as per the package was to continue for two years. He demanded immediate release of cash relief in favour of these youth for year 2011 and 2012.
