Zero Hour in Council

Fill up 800 posts of KP youth: Bakaya

Several members raised issues of public importance in the Legislative Council today.

Nurboo Gailchan raised the issue of stranded students of Leh particularly Zanskar due to closure of road and demanded their airlifting.

Rafiq Ahmad Shah raised the issue of two roads of Trehgam and Kralpora blocks and demanded their early completion.

Mohammad Ashraf Mir raised the issue of affected families due to Dal Development Project and demanded their early rehabilitation.

Murtaza Ahmad Khan raised the issue of up-gradation of high schools of Poonch, Mendhar and Surankote and demanded fulfillment of commitment made by the Government.

Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri demanded adequate irrigation facilities for Horticulture fields besides timely provision of pesticides and sensitizing orchardists about the benefits of technology mission.

Vijay Bakaya raised the issue of filling up of 800 posts meant for Kashmiri Pandits and demanded early implementation of Cabinet decision taken in this regard.

Javed Rana raised the issue of farmers of Poonch district living near borders who have to pass daily through several army check posts and sought intervention of Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner to take up this issue with Army authorities in order to ease the checking process.

Dharam Bir Singh Oberai raised the issue of cooking gas shortage in South Kashmir and demanded supply from Pampore.
