Multilingual Mushaira Conducted

Department of Information and Public Relations organised cultural bonanza and multilingual Mushaira at  Basholi and Billawar here on Friday.

At Basholi the Mushaira was organised at Jawahar Navodhya Vidyalaya (JNV) Basholi. Tehsildar ,Basholi Jeevan Lal was the Chief Guest while Probationary Tehsildar Satish Kumar was the Guest of Honour. Principal JNV Suresh Shastri, staff  and students were presented on the occasion .

The poets recited their poems in Hindi, Urdu, Dogri and Punjabi languages. Through their poems, poets awared the students about various social evils like female feticide, corruption, gender disparity, drug addiction, dowry system etc. One of the poets recited his writing on degradation of human and social values in prevailing time.
Prominent among the poets who recited their poems include Ashraf Ali, Girija, Suresh Kuamr, Neeru and Anil Kumar.
Chief Guest appreciated the working of Information Department for preservation of those arts which are dying. He said that people can be well awared through such programmes to root out various socials evils from the society.

At Billawar Mushaira and Cultural Bonanza was organised at Government Middle school Kishanpur.Sapanch Kishanpur, Narinder Vaid was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The prominent among the poets who recited their writings include Karan Singh Jamwal, Raj Billawaria, Karan Sharma, Muffar Hussain Manjoor Ahmed Romal Singh and Akhil

A cultural bonanza comprising of Dogri, folk songs and dance was presented by Bansi Lal and party. The Dogri folk songs and Dance were enjoyed by the audience and well appreciated by the several rounds of applause.

Chief Guest Narinder Vaid appreciated the Information Department for organising such programme which not only provided information about the literature and culture of the region but also entertained the students. He also appreciated the writings of the poets, and Dogri  folk songs dances presented by  the artist.
