Islamic University of Science and technology (IUST) and Career Launcher together came forward for a programme to help students to understand the MAT and to clear it with good scores so that they can realize their dreams and secure a seat in a college of their choice. This 15-day programme ran from February 14th to 29. According to a press note, for this programme, a good number of students registered and classes for them were held through out the week, including on Sundays. IUST had also generously provided transport facility for the convenience of the students. Career Launcher, which is Asia’s leading education service provider led by a team of IIT-IIM alumni, were the knowledge partners for this programme. Since its inception in 1995, Career Launcher has focused on academic excellence, technological innovation and domain xpertise in order to work towards its core objective of “Enabling individuals to realize their potential and make their career dreams come true”.
Classes for this MAT preparation exams were undertaken by faculty members of Career Launcher who have themselves successfully appeared in various management competitive exams like CAT, MAT, XAT and various others. These classes covered the basics of the MAT exam and prepared students in a very focused manner. The students benefited a lot from this programme and their feedback was very positive. Management courses offered by universities across the country are very popular among students. With the growing demand for management professionals, there has been a huge increase in the number of students appearing for various management entrance exams.
The University of Kashmir has decided to consider only CAT / MAT scores, for admission to its MBA and MFC courses from the current academic session onwards. As a result, students aspiring for these courses need to appear and score well in the aforementioned tests in order to pursue their dream courses. Hence, it was strongly felt that there is a need to revise and update students about the examination pattern of MAT and the strategy for successfully attempting these exams. Taking a noble initiative in this regard, the Islamic University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Career Launcher, conducted a 15-day short-term course for MAT aspirants. Classes began on 14th February at the Avantipora campus of the IUST, the press note added.
