Governor, N. N. Vohra and Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today extended warm greetings to the people on Holi, and prayed that the festival of colours would be a harbinger of sustained peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his message of felicitations, the Governor observed that festivals are an important component of our rich cultural heritage which strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, love and amity. He expressed the hope that Holi would spread happiness and joy all around and further promote harmony and brotherhood.
Wishing a happy Holi to the people, the Governor prayed for their well-being and prosperity.
In his message, the Chief Minister said that Jammu and Kashmir possesses rich tradition of celebrating festivals and holy occasions in amity and brotherhood. He expressed the hope that this ethos of the State would get further strengthened.
