The activists of National Secular Forum (NSF) today staged a demonstration in protest against the Minister for Health and demanded immediate sacking of Sham Lal Sharma from the Council of Ministers.

Addressing the media persons, State president NSF, Vikas Sharma demanded vigilance probe into the irregularities and bungling committed during the period of Health Minister, Sham Lal Sharma.

He said that corruption and appointments of junior officials on senior positions, the illegal flourishing business of unauthorized hospitals, nursing homes and clinical laboratories in the State has already caused a grave threat to the human life, adding that though the Department of Health had conducted some raids on some unauthorized hospitals, labs and nursing homes but many of them resumed operation within days and weeks, in some cases within hours.

He criticized transfer policy adopted by the Health Department under the leadership of Sham Lal Sharma and Government for not conducting gender survey of new babies in the State as the sex ratio of the total population of the State has declined.
