Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, was today felicitated by Kashmir University during a function held here.
Deans of faculties and Heads of different departments of Kashmir University assembled during an interactive session organised by the university to know Prof Ishar's views on higher education.
The meeting was held in the committee room of the administration block of the university which was presided over by Vice-Chancellor, Prof Talat Ahmad.
JU Vice-Chancellor, Prof MPS Ishar lauded the efforts of Vice-Chancellor, Prof Talat Ahmad for making the university a research hub.
Prof Ishar said research was the back bone of improving quality in higher education.
The Vice-Chancellor called for creating more and more infrastructure saying that it was the need of the hour.
Earlier, KU Vice-Chancellor, Prof Talat Ahmad felicitated Prof Ishar by presenting him a shawl on behalf of KU fraternity.
Prof MPS Ishar was impressed with the ideas KU faculty shared with him in the interactive session.
Prot Talat Ahmad in his address said they would look forward to more collaborations between sister universities of J&K.
It may be mentioned here that Dr MPS Ishar has undertaken various research projects funded by different national agencies.
He has 86 research publications and presented 43 research papers in various national and international conferences besides symposiums to his credit.
